Linda Sandow began developing her photographic vision in 2002 during a photography seminar in Provence. She was immediately recognized for her unusual point of view. Since then, she has continued to develop her artistic vision and craft and works as a full time photographer in fine art, abstract views, landscape and various blur techniques.
Linda expressed her artistic talents early, becoming an accomplished musician, playing Principal Flute with the Canadian Opera, Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Bolshoi Ballet. Later, working as a technology project manager for a major financial institution, Linda honed her technology skills with projects that developed software for Traders. Her photography blends her artistic side with her technological precision. The results are photographs that capture moods and feelings, drawing the viewer into the scene, beyond what is literally there on first hand observation.
Linda is a digital photographer, working predominantly in color. Her recent travels have taken her to Provence, India, Morocco, Utah, Maine and New Mexico. She currently lives in New York City where she photographs the tri-state area, exhibits and receives requests for fine art prints. She also exhibits on her website: www.lindasandow.com. Her photographs have won competitions at New York's b.j. spoke gallery and online at Upstream People Gallery. She also received 8 Honorable Mentions in the 2009 Lucie International Photography Competition. In addition to exhibiting at the b.j.spoke gallery, Linda has exhibited at the New York's Durst Gallery, the New York Mercantile Exchange, the Chrystie Street Gallery, MH Art and Framing Gallery, TD Bank, Chelsea Gallery Space, the Montauk Library in Long Island and the Dept. of Cultural Affairs for Hudson County in Jersey City, New Jersey. Her images have appeared in Professional Women Photographers Magazine.
Linda has a bachelors degree from The Juilliard School and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University.
